Potato Power | Young Guns Award Ceremony 2016

Laila was awarded with the Art Director’s Club Young Guns award in 2016. For the award ceremony she was invited to create an installation. She chose to do a riff on the great school project of using a potato as an electric circuit. The installation was comprised of 50 lb of potatoes that were used to power 3 light fixtures that Laila designed. The same amount of potatoes was fried into potato chips. The room was lit with the lights while guests ate the chips.

Assistant: Malena Burman
