Marche Rouge Tokyo | Shiseido

Sights, sounds, and tastes of Tokyo were recreated in downtown New York City, to celebrate Shiseido Rouge Rouge during NY Fashion Week. Laila transformed an empty parking lot into a multi-sensory Japanese market.  Central to the installation was a fruit powder bar that used the same natural ingredients inspired by the Shiseido product to create powders to sprinkle onto foods. The powders included turmeric / bee pollen, dehydrated lime juice / urfa pepper / salt, dehydrated and fermented beets / sumac, and hibiscus powders. Guests sifted and sprinkled the powder onto mangos, pineapples, and watermelon.
