Offering

Each day in Ancient Egyptian temples a designated person performed a ritual focussed on presenting offerings of food, drink, clothing and ointment, to a divine being, made accessible in the form of images. Through this ritual, the ancient Egyptians sought to maintain the fabric and process of the universe.

Inspired by Ancient Egyptian food culture and specifically, the food of the afterlife, several different installations were created with ancient ingredients: chocolate, fig, melon, dates, cherries, bread, and ham.
